Interestingly enough for me the sensor technology (the I-Cube system) and Ensoniq sampler which we're so central to the first installation, Lingua_Elettrica were not used at all in the triggering process for the web event(s) set in motion this time.

Strangely enough I felt I'd brought death with me driving through the country that night. On a long stretch of road between Morgan and Burra just on sunset with kangaroos crossing everywhere. They had a terrible habit of waiting till the car got close and then bounce out in front of it. I was sure to hit and either kill or have to kill a dying kangaroo. No casualties however and we stopped on the way for a cognac and a gaze at the milky way. Joyce told us all about stars and satellites as we watched for movement in the pitch black sky. I'd never seen so many, so clearly before.

In keeping with my morbid fascination that first day in Pekina we found a 'freshly killed' fox on the road (on the way to Orroroo). Leesa and I brought it back to the property and lay it out the back to video-decomposing. It died on the day we arrived, so we thought we might shoot (photograph) a little bit less of it each day.
