The first dream I had in Pekina happened a few nights after we'd arrived. I was told I was going to die and had a few hours to prepare myself. I went to see my father (I think he was in a hospital) and told him the news. He shrugged it off and appeared not to care. This scared me and I was overtaken with the idea of finishing up my life and preparing for death. I wasn't afraid of dying, just the feeling my father had given me. I walked around for a few hours and could only think of gathering all the data I'd been working on (a sort of digital archive to my life) onto a disk. I didn't actually die in the dream and woke up feeling disturbed. The dream was so real, I was glad to wake up to another reality.
